APA Cables & Networks merges its fiber connectivity expertise with a modular line of OSP cabinets to offer a unique ruggedized FTTX distribution solution for PON architectures, the Fiber Scalability Center (FSC). Engineered around APACN's Fiber Distribution System (FDS), each cabinet utilizes field-tested designs to maximize bend radius protection, connector access, ease of cable routing and physical protection. These low profile housings are designed for pad or pole mount installations and feature single-door front and rear entry for easy access and maintenance.
Most importantly, APACN's FSC allows for a "grow-as-you-go" philosophy by offering:
- Fast and cost effective installation into the current FTTP infrastructure
- Ease of expansion and customer add-ons
- Design assistance from the experienced APACN engineering group
- Each splitter module supports (1) 1x32, (2) 1x16 or (4) 1x8 splitter modules while maintaining same maximum fiber count in same footprint
- Same part number for splitter modules across the FSC standard cabinet platform reducing stocking eliminating the need to stock multiple splitter styles/part numbers
- "Valet Parking Lot" - Unique design that provides for easy identification and protection of jumper cables by requiring only one-touch of jumper cable for customer turn-up
